Senior Consultant, Asia Regional Team

A politically-aware professional, with public and private sectors' experience working in international affairs and development in Asia and Europe, and a focus on social development, gender and human rights.

Valentine acts as Regional Assistant Manager for Asia, actively seeking new opportunities to develop our portfolio of projects in the region, and providing support in bids and programme management across Asia and Pacific.

Prior to joining IMC, Valentine has worked with a number of international organisations on political communication and advocacy for human rights and development. She has experience collaborating with a range of stakeholders across sectors, and a fine understanding of the diplomacy and dynamics at play within multilateral and bilateral organisations.

Valentine has joined us from Sri Lanka, where she has spent two years with the French embassy, working closely with civil society, NGOs and international donors on issues pertaining to social development and human rights. Prior to that, she has worked at the European Union’s External Action Service in Malaysia, the United Nations Office in Geneva and a political consultancy in London.

Valentine’s thematic interests include gender, women’s economic empowerment, and human rights and business. She is a law graduate, and holds a master’s degree from Paris-Sorbonne University and a MSc from LSE. She is fluent in English and French.
