Thirteen years' experience in promoting business development and stakeholder engagement, leading and coordinating multifaceted teams and project management in the corporate, humanitarian and refugee response sectors.

Rita is a Principal Consultant in IMC Worldwide’s Inclusive Growth team, where she pursues business opportunities in the small and medium-sized enterprise, economic governance, violence against women and technical and vocational education and training sectors.

Rita has 13 years’ experience in promoting business development, establishing and coordinating stakeholder relations, project management and senior management of the leading multifaceted programme offices of 60+ staff.

With a career spanning the corporate, humanitarian and refugee response sectors, Rita has extensive experience working with governmental departments, UN bodies, funders and non-governmental organisations.

Prior to joining IMC, Rita worked in a number of challenging contexts. These include as Head of Mission in Idomeni, Greece, on the current refugee crisis; as Country Representative in Amman, Jordan, on assistance to Syrian refugees; as Programme Coordinator and Shelter Project Manager in Buhok and Zarkho, Iraq, working with internally displaced people; as Refugee Relocation Coordinator, in Tel Aviv, Israel; as Shelter Advisor in Nepal, an emergency response after earthquakes in May 2015; as Programme Coordinator and Shelter Advisor in Haiti, after the earthquake of 2010. 

Before joining the emergency relief and humanitarian sector, Rita was a chartered (RICS) Senior Building Surveyor and Project Manager in Europe and the Middle East.

Rita is also a member of the British Society for Population Studies (BSPS).
