Senior Consultant, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

Over 12 years’ experience in international development, with a focus on monitoring, evaluation and learning, theory of change, resilient livelihoods, social development, gender, empowerment and capacity building.

Richard has over 12 years’ experience in international development, the majority focused on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL).

He has worked with clients including DFID, FCO, European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and International NGOs. His work includes both evaluations and supporting clients to build and strengthen their MEL systems.

He has notable expertise in theory of change development, logical and results framework development, evaluation design, MEL Framework design and implementation, quantitative and qualitive data collection methods, value for money, adaptive management and capacity building. 

Richard’s thematic experience includes health, livelihoods, empowerment, gender, inclusion, climate resilience, child protection and development and civil society development. 

Richard has worked across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia as a programme and project MEL lead for international NGOs including Christian AID, Progressio and Family for Every Child.
