Elena De Besi

Senior Consultant, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

Six years' of professional experience in the social and economic development sectors, conducting monitoring and evaluation, social research, project planning and management with a focus on private sector development, microfinance and social protection.

Elena has recently joined the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Team at IMC as a Senior Consultant, bringing six years of professional experience in the social and economic development sectors, having worked for private and public sector organisations.

She has extensive experience in project planning, management and monitoring and evaluation in areas ranging from social protection, private sector development, microfinance, gender, equity and health.

Prior to joining IMC, Elena worked as a Project Manager for Maxwell Stamp, where she was responsible for the management of large scale public sector projects in emerging markets, working for clients such as the Department for International Development and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Previously, Elena led research, analysis and reporting for several evaluations and high-profile public consultations in the health, sustainability and infrastructure sectors in the UK forĀ Public Management Group, London.

Elena has contributed to various evaluations and provided technical analysis for Aid for Trade programmes in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Her country experience covers Belize, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Haiti, Spain, Uganda, and the UK.
