IMC Worldwide, in partnership with Maple Consult, has been contracted by UNICEF Ghana to provide advice and evaluation services for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) documentation.
This includes a variety of interventions covering water supply, rural and urban sanitation, hygiene, WASH in institutions, household water treatment, safe storage and enabling a healthy environment and good governance.
UNICEF Ghana engages with a range of consultants and implementing partners on the completion of surveys, studies and development of documentation. To improve the quality of this work, UNICEF Ghana has contracted IMC on a two-year agreement to provide guidance and assessment services.
Whilst the WASH team within UNICEF Ghana have the skills required, time limitations mean in-depth quality assurance is restricted. Therefore, due to IMC’s international experience and expertise, UNICEF Ghana has awarded us the contract on a call down basis.
The UNICEF-funded programme will incorporate WASH study and survey support. As studies and surveys are commissioned, input at various stages from conceptual design, to survey and study design and final report review will be provided by IMC to achieve suitable quality.
IMC Worldwide is utilising their expertise to provide suggestions and direction across all WASH sub-sectors.
The two-year programme will encompass evaluation and analysis of various WASH documents, to ensure the correct and most effective procedures are met.
