IMC-led team hosted a stand and panel discussion at the EU’s annual Development Days (EDD15)

Thursday 11 June 2015

Last week, an IMC-led team hosted a stand and panel discussion at the EU’s annual Development Days (EDD15) event in Brussels.

With an audience of donors, policy makers and fellow practitioners, discussion was centred on initial findings and lessons learnt from IMC’s implementation of Ideas to Impact – the DFID-funded innovation prize programme.

What sets Ideas to Impact apart from similar programmes is its focus on stimulating innovation in solution scale-up and systemic change, rather than “shiny new toys”.

Debate on this was particularly timely given Melinda Gates’ opening address at EDD15, in which she stressed how the Gates Foundation has learnt that, in the past, it has focused too much on technology and R&D and not enough on innovative delivery and behaviour change.
