Consultant, Full-Time, Malawi
IMC Worldwide is tracking an opportunity for an upcoming donor-funded project to strengthen access to justice and prevent violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Malawi.
The programme aims to strengthen the capacities of communities and institutions to prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV) and to improve the accessibility, responsiveness and accountability of the justice system for women and girls living with violence.
The programme will comprise two distinct but interlinked phases, including an initial piloting phase to develop a community-led GBV and violence against girls prevention and justice response to help shift social norms and to ensure improved justice outcomes. This will allow learning and evidence to be drawn out about which combinations of interventions are most effective in Malawi.
During the second phase, the interventions that have been identified as most successful will be rolled out further across Malawi.
We are looking for someone who can successfully lead and deliver this programme ensuring effective, timely and value for money delivery. The role will also include responsibility for strategic vision, overall delivery and results of the programme as well as technical inputs.
This role will be based full-time in Malawi for the duration of the 6 year programme.
