The UK’s Department for International Development (DfID) has pledged £44 million to the post Ebola recovery programme in Sierra Leone. These funds are intended to be spent on priority works identified by Guma Valley Water Company (GVWC) targeting improving reliability and reducing losses within the water supply system through this assignment for the Freetown Water project. The stated objective of the project is to improve water supply for the 600,000 people in the east of Freetown.
