Senior Consultant – Waste and Resource Management

We are looking to engage a Senior Consultant to join our Waste and Resource Management Team, a part of our Infrastructure Services Group

The Role
IMC Worldwide has an exciting opportunity to join our expanding waste and resource management service following recent successes.  The successful candidate will take the lead or support waste management project delivery, strategic and business development and expand our service delivery, focussed on strategy development, transition to a circular economy approach and addressing the climate change impacts of waste management.

You will provide technical leadership and project management skills through consultancy services to major international donors to deliver solid waste management services to low and middle-income countries. You will have the opportunity to use your experience and imagination in developing new business and build on existing client relationships to continue our reputation for technical excellence and reliable project delivery.

You will bring a strong background in a wide range of waste management services, including waste strategy, technology selection and waste to energy solutions across all waste streams, as well as a thorough understanding of the challenges associates with the transition to a circular economy and climate change imperatives.

A typical day at work
You could be working from home or in the office under our hybrid working arrangement and could be involved in:
• Providing technical inputs into one of our current projects in West Africa, South Asia or Easter Europe
• Providing project management support and direction to a project you have won
• Talking to one of our key donors about a new opportunity
• Meeting with an existing or prospective partner to develop cooperation for a future proposal
• Developing a thought leadership paper for presentation at a conference or publishing online

The infrastructure team
You will join the Water, Sanitation and Waste and Resource Management team, a core part of our Infrastructure Services Group at IMC Worldwide. You will work closely with a strong team of colleagues under the leadership of the Senior Technical Director working across our global company. You will collaborate with other IMC staff across our business, including experts in Cities and Resilient Development; Inclusive Growth; Monitoring and Evaluation; Economics and Finance; and Data Management and Governance.
