Frontier Technology Futures – Strategists

Consultant, Part-Time

We are seeking a team of 1-2 technology strategists as part of expanding activities on the Frontier Technology Livestreaming (FTL) programme, which is implemented by IMC and funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

Within this award-winning three-year programme, IMC is helping DFID to apply frontier technologies to tackle major development challenges, from access to water in Tanzania to internet connectivity in Mozambique.

To find out more about FTL and its goals, visit our Medium publication.

FTL has just expanded its activities, and as such will be piloting a support function to DFID country offices, in the form of Frontier Technology Futures.

Supporting the DFID Bangladesh Country Office, FT Futures will help build knowledge of emerging technologies and map how technology could impact DFID Bangladesh’s existing and future programming.

Leading consultations with the DFID Bangladesh team, the strategists will create a technology roadmap to help direct how and in which capacity DFID Bangladesh can engage more deeply with digital and frontier technologies and local technology ecosystems. The scope of work includes travel for one consultant to help lead a week-long event at the DFID Bangladesh Country Office.
