Janet is a Senior Consultant in IMC’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team. She has experience in challenge fund management and monitoring, evaluation and learning with a range of organisations over the course of 18 years of international development work.
A focus has been on working for the social inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised groups, including older people, youth, people with disabilities, and people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Janet has worked with organisations including IPE Triple Line Consulting, International HIV/AIDS Alliance, HelpAge International and Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
Janet was team leader at IPE Triple Line for the management of DFID’s Civil Society Challenge Fund (2014-2016), and prior to that was involved in the fund as a Senior Civil Society Consultant. She led on communicating learning from the fund and on dialogue with DFID regarding fund and risk management. She was responsible for performance monitoring of a portfolio of CSCF-funded social inclusion projects, and reviewing annual, project completion and evaluation reports from civil society organisations who received support through this fund.
Janet was also involved with DFID’s Global Poverty Action Fund / UK Aid Direct in a similar role, which included evaluation of proposals to the fund, support to grant holders in developing monitoring and evaluation systems, and results and performance benchmarks which included value for money measurements.
At IMC Janet’s work includes independent monitoring and verification of the results of the DFID funded Transforming Rural WASH Programme in Mozambique; project management of Monitoring & Evaluation Services for Building Resilience through Asset Creation and Enhancement (BRACE) II, a 5 year DFID-funded programme that aims to improve food security and resilience in South Sudan; and contributions to other MEL projects and business development.
