Flora supports operations in the Europe/Central Asia & Middle East/North Africa region. She assists in day-to-day coordination, administration and management of marketing, business development and project implementation.
Flora’s interest and knowledge of the ECAMENA region stems from her time studying an MA in International Relations and European Politics at Maastricht University, where she specifically focused on the amendments to the European Neighbourhood Policy in the Middle East and the North Africa region. During this time, she developed her knowledge of the EU tendering process.
Flora also has a specialist interest in social development, monitoring and evaluation, and environmental policy. This was influenced by her time studying Human Geography at the University of Exeter and University of Wollongong.
Before joining IMC, she worked for the NGO Age International as part of their communications team, where she was involved in two Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) appeals in Yemen and East Africa. This role was part of the Charityworks graduate scheme which involved a twelve month training programme in areas such as project and financial management.
Prior to that, Flora completed an internship at GreenPeace Australia Pacific, and has experience at several other small human rights charities.
Flora has lived in the Netherlands and Australia.
