Catherine has recently joined IMC as a member of the Frameworks team, where she responds to framework call-down requests and communicates with partners, donors and consultants globally.
Catherine’s interest in international development started from a young age after growing up in South Africa. Her interest expanded as she travelled widely around Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
Catherine studied Psychology and Sociology at the University of Exeter. Following on from this, she then achieved a MA in International Studies and Diplomacy at SOAS, University of London. Catherine’s masters dissertation focused on the US drone programme and the impact it will have on the future of international security and international law.
During and after her masters degree, Catherine worked for the British Red Cross as a Refugee Support Caseworker, where she processed refugees coming into the UK by helping individuals with the asylum seeking process and liaising with the Home Office.
Prior to joining IMC, Catherine participated in an internship with an MP at the Houses of Parliament, an internship with an international conservation organisation and multiple study trips and debates at the United Nations in Geneva.
