Catherine Lowery

Principal Consultant, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

Over fifteen years’ experience in international development, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, governance, empowerment and capacity building.

Catherine Lowery has over 20 years’ work experience in capacity building, organizational change, evaluations and development of M&E Systems and managing projects, with over 15 years of that in international development.

As a Principal Governance and M&E Consultant she has expertise in participatory approaches to programme development, capturing lessons learnt and carrying out  evaluations to international standards. She is well-versed in a range of quantitative and qualitative tools, including household surveys, participatory appraisals and qualitative research packages.

In the area of capacity-building, strategy development and change management, Catherine has designed and implemented result-based M&E systems, developed strategic KPIs, carried out management and partnership reviews, developed and delivered training programmes.

Catherine has worked and lived in Central Europe and Sub Saharan Africa and worked in a number of post conflict settings, including Sierra Leone, Congo and Kosovo. Catherine was an independent consultant for over ten years prior to working for IMC.
