Benedetta is a politically aware individual striving to promote the sustainable development agenda.
Born and raised in Italy, she has pursued opportunities in various countries.
Benedetta speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.
She has a BSc in International Politics from City University of London and a MSc in Public Policy from the Universiteit Van Amsterdam.
Prior to joining IMC, Benedetta worked for UNEP in Montreal, Canada, for the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Much of the work on biodiversity was parallel to issues of international development, such as sustainable rural communities and economic empowerment, biodiversity and sustainable food production, the role of biodiversity in tackling climate change, the benefits of biodiversity for human health and more.
She has experience in communications and international development with NGO, The ONE Campaign, in Brussels, where she assisted on communications projects for the post-2020 EU Budget for international development, and assisted with the organisation of the European Development Days.
She is passionate about environmental issues and international development, seeking to communicate complex matters to the wider public and engage others to make positive change.
