Senior Technical Director, Inclusive Growth

More than 28 years’ experience, of which over 18 in international development and 10 in the UK private sector, focusing on SME business growth, business development, and policy and regulatory level reform.

Anthony is a private sector development (PSD) expert with over 18 years’ experience in Africa, Central Asia and the UK working on PSD policy, strategy and project implementation. He has expertise in SME development, M4P (as co-founder of DFID’s M4P agenda), investment promotion in Uzbekistan, development finance, intellectual property rights for low income producers/entrepreneurs, business enabling environment, and capacity building. A strong communicator with project management skills honed in managing substantial DFID programme portfolios in Ethiopia and Uganda, Anthony has a further 10 years in the UK private sector marketing financial and professional services complemented by a first Economics degree and an MBA.

Anthony is currently project Director for DFID’s Connect to Grow project, supporting enterprise growth through innovation and partnership.
