12 years of experience managing worldwide projects and programmes for a variety of donors as well as working in good governance, institutional development and capacity building within government departments across the world.

Alex is a Principal Consultant at IMC Worldwide, where she is a programme manager on several of IMC Worldwide’s larger programmes. These include Compass (formerly ICF-MEL) and Ideas to Impact, with a particular focus on projects in Nepal and Kenya.

Alex is also developing internal systems and team skills in the project management arena, including developing standardised budget monitoring systems, work planning and resource management systems. This includes internal quality insurance processes, integrity management and standard operating procedures for the organisation.

She is experienced in managing teams dispersed globally, developing communication strategies as necessary.

Previously, Alex was the Deputy Deployments Manager for CHASE-OT in DFID, where she managed multiple deployments and variable budgets with DfID country offices. Prior to this she worked at IDS on the Knowledge Management team, again developing project management and budget monitoring systems. She was also involved in helping set up the support team for the Stabilisation Unit, a multi-government team working in fragile states.
