It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear colleague and friend, Loyd Mawena on 31st January.

Loyd was a special person. Intelligent, thoughtful, highly respected, he will be deeply missed. His beaming smile, larger-than-life character and booming voice made the office a brighter and happier place for us all. We were lucky to have known him as a colleague and as a friend.

Everybody speaks of Loyd’s larger-than-life presence and big smile, which we experienced on a daily basis. As a team we will carry on with many of the things that we were to achieve together, thinking of him as we go.

– James Reeves, Senior Technical Director, Economics and Finance.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and all those touched by his presence.
