Senior Associate – Transportation Engineer

Permanent position, Full-Time, USA

The role

IMC Worldwide (IMC), a 60-year old international development consulting firm is seeking to fill a new position in its Washington, DC office.

The Senior Associate will assist the US team with a wide range of activities across:

  • Project Management
  • Technical Analysis
  • Field Operations
  • Business Development
  • Knowledge Sharing
  • Networking, Partnering, and Teaming

The role will be based in IMC’s Washington, DC office with flexible working hours/environment.  There will be opportunities to travel to London and project sites internationally.

Critical minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in international development and or in Transportation Engineering.
  • Knowledge of and experience in various transportation data collection methodologies and analysis such as International Roughness Index, deflection, and Geotech.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Prioritized candidates will also possess:

  • Working knowledge of the Highway Development and Management 4 (HDM-4) software.
  • Previous experience with business development activities for USAID or MCC projects.
  • Additional language skills, particularly French, Spanish, or Arabic.
